Gene Kim
Executive Vice President, CRE Strategies
As EVP, CRE Strategies Gene brings over 25 years of extensive experience in commercial real estate lending and structured finance, with a strong track record of building and enhancing lending platforms in entrepreneurial environments and with established national firms. Over the years, Gene has developed expertise in complex deal structuring, while also leading high-performing teams and fostering lasting client relationships.
Most recently, Gene served as Senior Vice President at Genesis Capital, where he helped develop new lending platforms, executed strategic growth initiatives and managed one of the company’s top origination teams. With a blend of technical skill, business development strength, and leadership experience, Gene is known for his collaboration and driving growth.
Earlier in his career, Gene held senior roles at Sunwest Bank, YAM Capital, Berkadia, and co-founded Keystone Commercial Capital. Gene earned his MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, a BBA with a concentration in Psychology from the UMASS Amherst and also studied at Cornell University’s College of Engineering.
