David Gravelle
Managing Director, Head of Business Development
As Head of Business Development, Dave plays a pivotal role in driving the firm’s strategic initiatives and overseeing its day-to-day operations, leveraging his 25 years of experience in legal/compliance, administration, and operational management. Previously, he was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at George Smith Partners in Los Angeles. He has also held several key positions at prominent financial institutions and professional services firms.
In early 2020, Dave was a Senior Compliance Officer at Wells Fargo in the Commercial Bank Division, where he ensured adherence to regulatory standards and implemented robust compliance programs. In 2017, David played an instrumental role for Goldman when they acquired Genesis Capital, serving as the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for Genesis where he forged relationships with the leadership team while managing compliance risk and streamlining administrative functions to support the Genesis’s global operations. Prior to 2017 David served as the Senior Compliance Officer for Goldman Sachs covering the Investment Banking and Private Wealth Management Divisions. David was also a corporate attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver, and Jacobson. David began his career as a process consulting at Ernst & Young.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. David is barred in New York and also registered as in-house counsel in California.
